GINA DURANTE
Gina Durante's professional mission is to harness the power of business and finance to improve environmental sustainability locally, regionally, nationally, and globally. Her company, Green Path Consulting, helps clients understand how sustainability applies to their business--and how to benefit from opportunities presented by sustainability concerns and the emerging clean tech market. She has sales & marketing, operations, product development, regulatory interpretation, and finance experience, in both start-up environments and large companies. Gina also has regulatory compliance experience in both the public sector and private sectors.
Prior to founding Green Path Consulting, Gina was a Market Analyst for DRI Energy, the solar energy subsidiary of a large roofing concern headquartered in Irvine, California. In this role, she provided in-depth sales & marketing support, project cost estimating tools, and solar industry market intelligence to executive management. Before moving to DRI Energy, Gina was a consultant at L.E.K. Consulting, a management consultancy specializing in market research, managing analysts on short, intense market research cases for private equity and corporate clients.
Prior to her experience at L.E.K. Consulting, Gina worked for Hewlett Packard on a variety of projects, from product and service offering development to developing market research for U.S., European, and Chinese markets for new partner-delivered IT service offerings to small and medium businesses (SMBs). Gina also has experience in the public sector and with regulatory compliance—providing clients with vital insights into the impacts of policy initiatives on clean tech business opportunities.
Ms. Durante holds degrees from Stanford University (B.S., Biological Sciences), Yale University (Master of Environmental Studies), and the University of California, Los Angeles (MBA—the Anderson School at UCLA).
PETER HAMILTON
Pete is dedicated to building technology-based enterprises that help solve our growing social, environmental and economic challenges. For over a decade, he has worked for industry, academic, non-profit and government entities focused on the commercialization of clean technology.
He is currently the San Diego Business Development Manager for EnerNOC (ENOC), a fast-growing company dedicated to transforming the way commercial and industrial customers use energy. He served as interim general manager for the Irvine, CA based WaterHealth International's West African subsidiary, a venture-backed for-profit enterprise that installs village-owned microutilities providing affordable and safe drinking water. Before that Pete was responsible for coordinating and sourcing deal flow for Plebys International, which provided initial funding for WaterHealth.
Pete has worked as an engineer, researcher, marketing strategist, and consultant in a dozen countries. Mr. Hamilton is fluent in English and Spanish, and holds degrees from Swarthmore College (BS, Engineering), UC Davis (MS, Transportation Technology & Policy), and Cornell University (MBA).
ROBERT STEINER
Rob is currently the Founder and CEO of RS Advisors, a sustainability-focused business and investment consultancy focused exclusively on alternative investment opportunities. Rob works with family offices and wealth managers by identifying, evaluating, and monitoring clean technology investment opportunities within the alternative assets classes. With a specific sector focus on water, Rob connects investors to a number of industry leaders within the water value chain and conducts due diligence in analysis of water technologies, business models and potential investment opportunities.
Prior to launching RS Advisors, Rob served in a similar capacity at Aquillian Investments as Director of Research. Prior to Aquillian, Rob was a Co-Founder and Executive Director for the WaterLeaders Foundation, a Bay area nonprofit that is dedicated to providing appropriate, sustainable safe water solutions to the developing world. Prior to his work in the private sector, Rob was an officer in the US Public Health Service and served within the Department of Health and Human Services, specifically within the Office of the Secretary, the Office of the Surgeon General and the Office of Global Health Affairs.
Rob holds a Masters degree in Public Health from George Washington University with a concentration in Global Health Policy and a BS from the School of Natural Resources and Environment at the University of Michigan. He also serves on the Advisory Board of A Child’s Right, a global nonprofit providing safe drinking water solutions to orphanages and schools worldwide.
Although a proud native of Michigan, Rob now lives with his growing family in Coronado, CA.
